Children’s Feet

Our paediatric Podiatrist Dr Ella loves treating children. As children grow, their needs change depending on their level of activities, their growth phase and their genetics. Many common foot conditions may self-correct in time, whilst others need to be managed early for the most effective and favourable outcomes.

When should children visit a podiatrist?

Most parents know when there is something wrong with their child. Their gait may change, they exhibit poor posture or have flat feet wearing out their shoes unevenly. Perhaps you’ve noticed your child walks or runs differently from other children, their willingness to engage in their favourite activity is unusually resistive, or more obviously, they are complaining of pain intermittently that has now become more often.

If you have any concern regarding your child’s feet or lower legs, you should seek advice from our paediatric podiatrist Dr Ella. No age is too young and no issue is too small, as often, most children’s foot problems are not of great concern and can be satisfactorily resolved with the right podiatric treatment and advice.
