The Extended Diabetic Assessment is a 40-minute appointment for existing patients living with diabetes. Your podiatrist repeats the sensory and blood-flow checks, inspects your skin and nails, reviews your ulcer risk against your last visit and goes over footwear and day-to-day foot care with you. With your consent, a report can go to your GP or diabetes educator.
You're seen by an AHPRA-registered podiatrist. Whether treatment on the day suits you is decided by your podiatrist at the appointment, not at purchase.
